Children and Youth Services

When working with children and youth it is necessary to assess the environment in which they live and attend school. Structured service planning may include, individual counseling, support and therapy to youth and families in the home and school setting. I utilize reality therapy, and strength, resiliency based principles in helping youth and families stabilize behaviors and improve relationships and performance.  Children's services utilize a treatment team approach.  Individual and family therapy is strength based and outcome driven.  Family therapy provides support to the child and the family.  I work with the family and the client on relationship building skills, effective communication and expression to improve functioning within the home and school.

Skill building, counseling and therapy services are used in the home and the school setting.  These therapeutic interventions support and assist families and school professionals in providing the necessary structure and support for the child and youth to remain safely in the school and home setting.
