Welcome I am a licensed clinical social worker, specializing in working with children, adults and families with a complexity of issues. Primary area of focus involves working with clients and families with anxiety, depression, complex and generational trauma, and post traumatic stress disorder.
I also work with geriatric patients in nursing home and outpatient settings. I am currently working in rural health clinics through Quincy Medical Group, in west central Illinois. Clinics are located in Pittsfield and Mount Sterling IL. I have worked in the rural health clinics for seven years. Prior to that I worked at Blessing Hospital's pain management clinic and private practice.
For over 30 years I have worked with children and families in many different settings; adolescent residential treatment, day treatment, domestic violence programs, the public school setting and community mental health. I am a 2005 graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana, specializing in community mental health services.
I have presented at national conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of co-occurring disorders, reality therapy and recovery oriented community based services. My therapeutic approach provides support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
